Shopping in Antique Shop!

“A Picture speaks a thousand words” but here I have been asked to write 1000 words on this picture…. Here is my take!

On Sunday morning around 9 P.m, the alarm rings nonstop⏰⏰. I woke up with a jerk to check and was searching my mobile thinking hardly ,why it is not stop buzzing . Generally, I do not set alarm for Sunday. Finally, I picked up the mobile and found ,.Huh.. My manager’s house-warming ceremony and a remainder that I set to buy a gift..!🧧 Cool… With a sigh, I close the alarm, again trying to catch the sleep… while I am in  the mode of sleep and awake, planning to where and what to buy for him..

Gift for house warming! Quite tedious to choose a gift.. Generally I would have clarity on what and where I need to buy gift.  My shopping style is that , is quite straight to the point. I am not window-shopping person nor the get into to a shop and explore every items that kept for sale..💁

For a change, this time I did not have clarity on what to be gifted. With that confusion, woke up and had my coffee.. My morning coffee is very important to kick start the day ! The clock already touched 10:15 AM.. Dialed my colleague number 👧and asked for suggestion.. Here you go, buy an antique piece..what a suggestion.. Thanks to my colleague.Safest way to gift and guess what, I have shop nearby to my stay..

I planned to be in the house-ceremony function by 2-3 PM . I need at least 30 mins for shopping. With that calculation, started from my stay to antique shop around 1:30 PM..😎

As I walk in, a guy with decent look came to say, “mam – what are you looking for..? How can I assist you? “A quick smile and I said, let me have a look around and will tell you what I need..! Please,Excuse me for now.. he politely allowed me to a look around and sat in his position having an eye on me.. ! perhaps he would have thought I will not buy anything??? Certainly, I do not look of lady who takes and run away.. 😊

Glanced around the shop by small steps. The shop had all sort of antique collections starting from lights, wind chimes, paintings, statues, skeletons, showcases, wood-made toys,  scary animal statues etc..

My mind voice “I am not sure why people will make something scary in the name of antique 💀👹👺!!”  Quality and price are equally important while I buy!.. Luckily, all antiques was having a price tag..

Oh! wait. Something stopped me, A Chariot!! It was looking pleasant…  I shortlisted and moved on to check other antiques.. .Next to that, there was a ship and light lamps that remained me Devadas movie.. “silsila ye chahat ka… ..’ nice song.. .. With that thought, moved on as the time is running.. As time ticking,  my colleague called to ask have I  reached  and what I am doing??

Oh my.. I got lost in antique shop for almost 30 mins .. !! An absolute eye treat. But ,I am late!  So, I went with my first choice.. “Prince with chariot”.. Decently gift wrapped and left the shop with a complete satisfied smile…😍

So my readers, if you were in this antique shop, what would you buy? Please comment!👇

A Telescopic view of API

From a Business Analyst- Telescopic View to API The development/technical folks tell you a few words all day and the words register, echo… There is more than one way to deal with that Ignore the echo and start using the words like a pro; beyond that word, you would not have any idea about it. Explore the basics to get familiarised with the words and make yourself comfortable. Third, deep dive into the world and become a techie!! Do not like those words, it annoys you, it is time to change your role.. :-) I belong to the second category. This blog is for the first /second set of people likes to get comfortable with the techie words.! One of the highly used words in my previous organization and here, in my 2nd project is APIs/webservices. My experience with Webserices/API: Around 5+ yrs, with the team who developed Webservices/API.  Now, I am on the other end. Pretty much I have the hands-on experience of both provider and consumer.. All gold..

As part of my job, I get to embrace a lot of gold chains/bracelets/rings /earrings, and being a woman, the temptations are real, to wear and own it. These desires grew stronger day by day, which landed me in a spot through the receptionist, where there is no camera coverage and with a deal that I have to allow her to wear it for a selfie. Well, one is taken care of, the wanting to possess at least a few did not allow me to sleep. I could not afford to buy any one of them because our peanut salary gets invisible into the endless loan, education fees, and all the bills. I did not want to become a gold thief, hence for now decided to sleep over the thought.  Days flew fast as the gossip on my Instagram jewel post. Few thought I won the lottery and interestingly, few assumed that my husband is getting black money in his IT job. Whatever the gossips where, but it made me feel like a celebrity in my neighborhood.  All the unknown faces become known. I got to choose the vegetab...

Impartiality.

Today  Mythili, “get ready soon. We are late!”. “Why in such a hurry? We have good 30 mins to catch the bus. To be specific, I do not want to wait at the bus stand. The bus stand, that has taken my son’s life. I know something happened there and no one wants to share with me anything”. She sits on the sofa, not wanting to cry but still her tears reveal the pain that she is going through for the last 5 years. Guilty and feeling helpless! Sigh! I am hoping from today the days are going to be better. Suddenly the wreath falls from his photo, acknowledging my hope. His smile and that innocence,  at least once, I want to ask him,  "Am I not a good father?" 5 days back: After my son killed himself, Mythili lost herself in a different world. She stopped sleeping and eating. During those days, my situation was the same as hers. I could not do anything much to take care of her. Once I moved to the office, I managed to divert the pain, but she locked herself in a room and wa...
