Well..Today, a tricky topic “Equation that changes after Marriage…”

Marriage is a system, that enables makes two individual to start a new family and  generation in a legal way. Uhmmm.. In all types of marriage, there is interesting equation change happens and  it is quite common, atleast as I far as I have observed in South Indian Marriages.. i.e equation of addressing each other..


 After Marriage, Men status always goes one step higher than woman esp in the way they address each other in front of public. When a woman has to call her husband in public place, it has to come with a respect. He cannot be addressed by his name whereas  Man can address his woman by name and it is considered to be right.

 Even if a woman address her man , the problem starts with Mother in law, relatives and her own family . But why it is not concern when woman is treated that way.... Is  it not they do not deserve respect in public place or  in the way of addressing. It does not stop here.. even their friends has to address them with different note…Silly..

 I found it amusing when my close friends gets married and I cannot address them in the same way ie calling them by their names like  how I used to address them before.. whereas I can still address my female friends💁

 I think this culture would have come into place where in olden days, there was age gap in marriage and predominantly men were older than women.. the culture of addressing men with respect is been started.. but with generation coming in , as we are moving forward , the culture of finding bride groom and groom has been changed, nowadays there is no age gap in couple..

 So , why the system is still followed? One’s respect does not go-off by calling their names either it does not mean one speaks with respectful words gives you respect.. it might be sarcastic too…

    The very reason is feudal mindset of our society which has changed only in terms of clothings etc but not with mindset of giving respect to other person
