I wish, you were real!

My all-time believer. He looks so cute even though he has the head of elephant and body of human. It is quite unimaginable that a person with an elephant head. These illusions or imaginations are rooted so well that you cannot ignore to believe it. that’s beauty of god’s story!

Today, the blog is on the celebration, I have seen and my perception towards to it..


When I was growing up, in my native, I have seen always ganesha fesitival as house festival. We have small puja with sundal, kokulakattai.

But in Bangalore, Ganesha festival is not only house celebration, it is celebrated as public get together celebration like area/street/community/apartment wise celebration. It is one of the grand festivals in their calendar.

As Ganesh festival is reaching nearly a month, the stalls of Ganapati idols will be seen in the roadsides. While crossing the road, it is absolute pleasure to see my favorite person in different forms and colors.. Sizes vary from xlarge to mini.. But he looks so cute.. I cannot remove my eyes from him. Absolutely an eye treat to glance through the idols..


As the day moves nearing to the celebration day, area club (youth group of neighbors) collect money to celebrate at street/area level. here comes the discomfort. Most of times, at least I have seen the club or volunteer who collects money are not less than rowdies.. Most of times, I have given money just to get them away from doorstep. While collection, there is bargain that happens. “Akka.. istane na.. jasthi kodi…” Apart from area wise, they celebrate Ganesh celebration street wise too. And if your house is stuck in between two streets, than you have to give for two streets + area. It is birthday celebration of Ganesha, it is grand as he is.

The street wise /area wise the Ganesha will kept on Ganesha idols for 3 to 5days puja.. What I have observed in Bangalore is that, the festival never been celebrated at Ganesha chathurthi day. It is always end of the august or the September mid.. I think the celebrations goes as per the club members convenient time... but this way, Ganesh festival is celebrated for the complete one to two months in different places.

While on the day Ganesh Visrjan, after a long puja and prasadam, the dance and music is not lesser the DJ.. the energy level is up n high. It is good watch but after sometime I get exhausted by the loud music and dancing style.

What I love most of ganesha festival is Ganesha , everywhere you get to see Ganehsa idolsand the rice kadubu, my owners' preparation.. 😊

All gold..

 As part of my job, I get to embrace a lot of gold chains/bracelets/rings /earrings, and being a woman, the temptations are real, to wear and own it. These desires grew stronger day by day, which landed me in a spot through the receptionist, where there is no camera coverage and with a deal that I have to allow her to wear it for a selfie. Well, one is taken care of, the wanting to possess at least a few did not allow me to sleep. I could not afford to buy any one of them because our peanut salary gets invisible into the endless loan, education fees, and all the bills. Impartiality.

  Today  Mythili, “get ready soon. We are late!”. “Why in such a hurry? We have good 30 mins to catch the bus. To be specific, I do not want to wait at the bus stand. The bus stand, that has taken my son’s life. I know something happened there and no one wants to share with me anything”.
