Dead Leaves

Today topic is on this Sound “Walking on Dry leaves”.. here is my attempt…

Walking on leaves, while the crispy sounds could not break her silence…Her footsteps were crushing leaves and thinking what is next….? Hundred questions were running in her mind with a blank view..

Priya Ganeshan, aged 22 , reached Mumbai  to her friends’ house on search of a job. Her family needs an earning person. While on the conversation, her school friend asked her to come Mumbai and offered her accommodation till she gets a job..

That morning, Meenakshi Amma ,her friend’s mother told Priya, Do not think bad of what Jhavani appa told. He is telling for your own good...! Think of it and try to change your view..

Vishwanath Iyer,  aged  55, daily routine starts with Pooja for Krishna Idol .. Once he finishes pooja, he sits in the hall and switches on the TV. That day , as usual after a coffee, Jhanavi appas sat with a coffee and watching Baby doll song in TV..the song was  "Kabhi Kabhii Pyaar Kabhi Kabhii Yaar...." was playing and expecting Priya to come down for breakfast..

They do not sip the coffee. They drink it without touching lips.. An Orthodox family.

Early morning everyone is expected to take bath and complete pooja..Coffee will be served along with breakfast. Guest will have separate plates. In their house, no other religions are allowed other than Hindu..   Priya, little known about the fact before entering the house , she would have been prepared to face it. For Priya, ,bible is everything.. Yesterday night, Jhavani’s appa got to see her while was reading bible.. There he was fuming and today morning when she sat for breakfast ,his question was , are you Christian??

By the loud sound, she got frightene and responded back, no I am Hindu but I like reading bible due to church visits during college days. The answer made him still more furious and his immediate reaction was “ if we had idea , that you follow Christian being Hindu, we would have not accomdated you in the house. By your surname, we assumed that you belong to Hindu community, thatswhy we invited you to our house.. Now please search a PG for yourself and move on your own by evening..” and he did not stop there, he asked about, grandfather profession  and what his father’s grandfather was doing? It is your duty to know the 4 generations name of your family”.. She was shocked and there was no words from her.. and he walked way with a shout to Jhanavi.. what a friend you got in the house?

Meenakshi Amma told, not to be worried of his words.. all these pain you are going through because you are not following your birth community customs.. Change yourself.. Visit temples and stop reading bible.. and you will see things will change for good..

Priya was perplexed with the decision of her friends’ father and mother’s word.. Not knowing the next step, she was crushing leaves and her tears seems to not make the dry leaves wet… it was making sound as though it could understand Priya’s pain..

A Telescopic view of API

From a Business Analyst- Telescopic View to API The development/technical folks tell you a few words all day and the words register, echo… There is more than one way to deal with that Ignore the echo and start using the words like a pro; beyond that word, you would not have any idea about it. Explore the basics to get familiarised with the words and make yourself comfortable. Third, deep dive into the world and become a techie!! Do not like those words, it annoys you, it is time to change your role.. :-) I belong to the second category. This blog is for the first /second set of people likes to get comfortable with the techie words.! One of the highly used words in my previous organization and here, in my 2nd project is APIs/webservices. My experience with Webserices/API: Around 5+ yrs, with the team who developed Webservices/API.  Now, I am on the other end. Pretty much I have the hands-on experience of both provider and consumer.. All gold..

As part of my job, I get to embrace a lot of gold chains/bracelets/rings /earrings, and being a woman, the temptations are real, to wear and own it. These desires grew stronger day by day, which landed me in a spot through the receptionist, where there is no camera coverage and with a deal that I have to allow her to wear it for a selfie. Well, one is taken care of, the wanting to possess at least a few did not allow me to sleep. I could not afford to buy any one of them because our peanut salary gets invisible into the endless loan, education fees, and all the bills. I did not want to become a gold thief, hence for now decided to sleep over the thought.  Days flew fast as the gossip on my Instagram jewel post. Few thought I won the lottery and interestingly, few assumed that my husband is getting black money in his IT job. Whatever the gossips where, but it made me feel like a celebrity in my neighborhood.  All the unknown faces become known. I got to choose the vegetab...

Impartiality.

Today  Mythili, “get ready soon. We are late!”. “Why in such a hurry? We have good 30 mins to catch the bus. To be specific, I do not want to wait at the bus stand. The bus stand, that has taken my son’s life. I know something happened there and no one wants to share with me anything”. She sits on the sofa, not wanting to cry but still her tears reveal the pain that she is going through for the last 5 years. Guilty and feeling helpless! Sigh! I am hoping from today the days are going to be better. Suddenly the wreath falls from his photo, acknowledging my hope. His smile and that innocence,  at least once, I want to ask him,  "Am I not a good father?" 5 days back: After my son killed himself, Mythili lost herself in a different world. She stopped sleeping and eating. During those days, my situation was the same as hers. I could not do anything much to take care of her. Once I moved to the office, I managed to divert the pain, but she locked herself in a room and wa...
